On 4 September 2013 Cabinet agreed to give delegated authority to the Corporate Director Economic Regeneration to acquire necessary properties for the regeneration of South Shields Town Centre. This key decision relates to the acquisition of a property in South Shields which is over £500,000.
When will the decision be taken
Between 29 May - 12 June 2015
Purpose of the report
To acquire a property necessary for the regeneration of South Shields Town Centre.

Agreed Heads of Terms with the vendor. Other documents relevant to the decision may be submitted to the Corporate Director of Economic Regeneration prior to the decision being taken.

Private - the press and public will be excluded from the meeting because the meeting will be considering a report that contains exempt information, as detailed below.
- The report will contain "exempt" information which falls within paragraph 3 of part 1 of the schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 ("Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information")
- In relation to the "exempt" information, it has been determined that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information because of the serious consequences for the authority and others if the information should come into the public domain.
