South Tyneside Council's plans for a carbon neutral future will be discussed at a community meeting next week.
Residents who live in the Hebburn area of South Tyneside can hear what is happening in their neighbourhood at the next Community Area Forum (CAF).
Members will hear about the council's pledge to do all it can to become carbon neutral by 2030 and receive an update on how they plan to establish change within the Borough.
Chair of the Hebburn CAF, Councillor Wilf Flynn, said: "Climate Change is an extremely important issue that affects each and every one of us.
"We are dedicated to tackling this issue and need to do all we can to ensure that all council decisions, policies and strategies are in line with the Council's target of being Carbon neutral by 2030.
"I'm looking forward to hearing about the progress made to date and the plans put in place for the future."
Councillors will also receive a presentation on CCTV within South Tyneside and be provided with details on where the CCTV operates, how it works and the legal issues surrounding the subject.
The meeting will be held on Monday 13 January at 10am at Hebburn Central, Glen street. Members of the public and press are welcome.
