Cleaner Greener Communities Board
The Cleaner Greener Communities Board focuses on the following strategic outcomes set out in the South Tyneside Vision:
- Better Housing and Neighbourhoods
- A Clean and Green environment
- Less Crime and Safer Communities
The Board work programme up to 2022 focuses on the following objectives:
- Promoting community and civic pride
- Promoting social action for young people
- Maximising the amount of external funding being secured for the community and voluntary sector
- Promoting urban design which is healthy and friendly to the environment
- Tackling social isolation
The Cleaner Greener Communities Board is chaired by Andrew Watts, Executive Director, Groundwork South and North Tyneside, and operational support is provided by Paul Baldasera, Strategy and Democracy Officer at South Tyneside Council.
