Arts Award for young people
South Tyneside Libraries now deliver the nationally recognised Arts Award for young people aged between 11 and 25. The Arts Award offers a range of qualifications enabling participants to grow as artists and arts leaders.
The Arts Award was created with the hope of inspiring others to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through challenges in art form as well as offering a framework for learning new skills and an opportunity to develop creativity and leadership.
We can provide Arts Awards at 3 different levels:
- discover
- explore
- bronze
As the award is literacy based individuals will get the opportunity to research their favourite authors and discover more about writers and books.
Each individual award takes a different amount of time designed with the sole purpose of fitting around participants' other commitments, with no time limit for completing the award due to the fact it is an ongoing event.
Participants will take part in a variety of different arts activities as well as gaining inspiration from artists and arts organisations, not only that but you will also be required to experience arts events and share these experiences and skills with others.
