Heritage Lottery Fund projects

We have received further Heritage Lottery Fund funding, in conjunction with North Tyneside Council and Community Arts Project North East (CAPNE) to work with identified community groups and schools in both Boroughs.

The aim of the project is to carry out more in depth research on sixteen individuals who took part in World War 1 to tell their stories through different mediums including creative writing, crafts and music to show what life was like for those people in 1918 and the post war period. The project will culminate in November 2018 with exhibitions in cultural venues and museums in North and South Tyneside.
