Course aims
- To familiarise participants with the principles, purpose and procedures of multi-agency risk assessment, multi-agency public protection arrangements and multi-agency tasking and co-ordination
Course learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will:
- Understand the MARAC Process
- Understand how the various agencies contribute to MARAC
- Be able to recognise the underpinning legislation and principles
- Be able to apply the multi-agency Risk Indicator Checklist and make a referral
- Understand the meeting processes and contribute to the MARAC action planning process
- Understand the MAPPA processes in terms of management of sexual, violent and dangerous persons
- Understand the MATAC processes in terms of safeguarding adults and children at risk of domestic abuse and to help reduce the offending of domestic abuse perpetrators
