The Carer Support Service provides emotional and practical support to carers which includes: one to one working, training opportunities, signposting, information and group activities, giving people the chance to gain peer support through regular coffee mornings and social activities, including a men's group, craft sessions, meals and coach trips.
- We operate a telephone support system including out of hours support and work with the carer to identify the level of support to best suit their needs.
- The Carer Support Service works closely with other community groups and statutory services to ensure that the voice of mental health carers is heard and that people are involved in consultation on local and national decision making policies around carer's issues.
