Overview
The Family Holiday Association provides breaks for UK families struggling with:
- disability
- severe and sudden illness
- bereavement
- mental health issues
- domestic violence
Most family breaks provided by Family Holiday Association involve:
- short trips to the British seaside
- day trips out - such as a simple day out at the seaside, local tourist attraction or museum
- other types of breaks, such as group trips
Support available
If you have any questions about your break or any special requirements, get in touch with your referrer who can speak with the service to find out anything that you need to know.
Who can access the service
To meet the criteria, families must:
- be on a low income
- have at least one child under 18 years old
- not have had a holiday in the past four years
How to access the service
All the families supported must be referred by:
- teachers
- social workers
- health visitors
- other charities
Referrers should not be related to the family that they are referring, or have a close personal friendship.
