Overview
The STSCAP provides E-Learning training courses for all partner organisations in South Tyneside including:
- voluntary organisations
- community organisations
- faith-based organisations.
The training is hosted by Virtual College, one of the UK's leading E-Learning colleges.
They worked closely with local safeguarding partnerships to develop the courses.
About the courses
All modules have:
- interactive learning screens
- learner challenges
- progress tracking
- online assessment
The courses follow the generally accepted continuous professional development (CPD) guidelines.
When you complete your course and the knowledge test, you will be able to print your own certificate.
The length of the course will depend on how quickly you can study and absorb the course material.
You can learn as quickly or as slowly as you like. You can do it in stages and save your work.
Once you have completed the course, you can revisit the module at any time to refresh your memory.
If you don't complete the course
You must tell your line manager if you plan to sign up for an E-Learning course.
This is because they will be charged if you do not complete the course.
Once you have registered you have 4 weeks to complete the module. If you haven't finished the module after 4 weeks, your manager will be sent an invoice for £40.
We do not recommend that managers or head teachers sign up all their staff for E-Learning.
Staff should book these courses themselves.
