Overview
Area Action Plans (AAPs) provide specific planning policy frameworks for a defined area.
The International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) AAP provides specific planning policies for the IAMP area.
The AAP for the IAMP forms part of our emerging Local Plan.
South Tyneside Council, together with Sunderland City Council, adopted the Action Plan for the IAMP on 30 November 2017.
In October 2022, both councils did a review of the IAMP AAP. It was decided that the policies of the AAP remain effective and consistent with national policy.
The current IAMP AAP Plan review was approved by Cabinet on the 5 October 2022.
