Overview
We deliver high quality, safe activities. All activities that take place include:
- instruction
- appropriate number of qualified staff for the activity
- equipment
- transport
- full risk assessment
- facilities
Qualifications, certificates and licenses
All of our staff are qualified in the National Governing Body Instructor award specific to the activity taking place.
Our staff are highly experienced, motivated and hold first aid certificates and are enhanced DBS checked.
We hold:
- an Adventurous Activities Licensing Service license (L10277/R0815)
- a Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge (LOtC)
- a AAIAC Adventuremark
These allows us to deliver a range of activities.
These quality standards show our committment to continued development of our clients through adventurous activities and outdoor education.
We are also a Royal Yachting Association recognised training centre.
Freelance instructors
We sometimes use freelance instructors to compliment our team.
All freelance instructors are appropriately qualified, skilled and experienced.
They go through the same checks that our full time employees do, to make sure activities are safe and to fall in line with South Tyneside Council guidelines.
